國民黨中常委、新北市議會議長陳幸進昨（13）日對媒體表示，新北市長朱立倫將會尋求連任，並帶職參加2016大選，角逐總統大位，而這也是國民黨高層最佳勝選方案的共識。

據《中國時報》今天的報導，新北市議會議長陳幸進指出，朱立倫的人氣、施政滿意度都是一時之選，絕對是國民黨2016年推出的總統參選人，但如果現在就棄選市長，距離總統大選的空窗期太長、變數太大，因此黨內高層已有共識，讓朱立倫先連任，並帶職角逐總統大位。

陳幸進說，對於這樣的選戰策略，黨內不會有太多意見，因為誰也扛不起「失去執政」的責任，至於民進黨與其他在野黨，當然會窮追猛打，但這並不在國民黨的考量範圍；陳幸進還說，朱立倫最知道市民的需求，也最能夠照顧新北市，相信所有市民都會舉雙手贊成朱立倫以市長身份角逐總統寶座。

對於有媒體報導朱立倫與金溥聰見面，並談好2016年布局；朱立倫昨天則回應說，「不知道是哪家媒體報導」，過去已經有10多家媒體報導他的動向，他也沒仔細看內容，希望大家多多關心世足賽，比較精采。
