雖說目前市場上有不少的SUV或者Crossover，但真正大量的還是屬於二輪驅動，主要是增加四輪驅動後整體變重，會影響油耗與性能表現，但日本MAZDA卻以開發出世界最小的四輪驅動系統為目標，不僅能兼顧經濟性，操控樂趣和性能可一點也沒因此而有所打折。
