嘉義縣學生午餐米麵食供應示範中心今天揭幕，除原有麵食製品外，也供應米麵包或米蛋糕等米食，每日產量可達3000份。

嘉義縣政府積極推廣米食，特別將中埔鄉社口國小「學生午餐麵食供應中心」實質轉型為「學生午餐米麵食供應示範中心」，由縣長張花冠、農糧署南區分署長陳俊言等人主持開幕，現場展示米穀粉及各式米製品。

社口國小學童在老師指導下製作米鳳梨酥，體驗米食製作過程；張花冠等人於典禮結束後，分送米麵包給學童享用，每個人都吃得津津有味，覺得口味與一般麵包差不多，一樣好吃。

張花冠希望透過麵食供應中心更名，將供應中心的主力轉向以米穀粉推廣為主，讓民眾覺得「原來米製食品也可以很不一樣，進而在不知不覺中增加對國產米食用」。

張花冠也宣布，11月3日至14日免費提供3萬份「米穀麵包」或「米穀蛋糕」，讓全縣國小師生都能品嘗到由在地稻米製作的米麵食製品，以多元型態吸引學童重新認識米製品。(中央社)
