荷蘭百歲老人 比2000年倍增

新華社報導，荷蘭中央統計局28日公布，截至今年10月1日，荷蘭百歲以上老人近2200名，比2000年翻了一番。

數據顯示，90歲以上年齡段是荷蘭增長最快的人口，而且這些老人大多非常健康，極少患有慢性老年病，罹患癌症的比例不到二十分之一。65歲至69歲的荷蘭人主要死亡原因分別是腫瘤、心臟病和呼吸系統疾病，而百歲以上老人死於這些疾病的比例要小得多。

調查顯示的另一個顯著變化是，雖然女性依然普遍比男性更長壽，但是隨著醫療條件極大改善，且女性煙民增多而男性煙民減少，百歲老翁的人數顯著增多。與其他歐洲國家相比，荷蘭百歲以上老人佔總人口比例並不高，每百萬人口中有115名百歲以上老人，遠低於法國（275人）、意大利（280人）和希臘（350人）。
