板球號稱是世界上第二多人從事的運動，主要是印度人口太多的關係，少年PI的哥哥拉維假日就是都去比板球，另外棒球聽說也是從板球演化過來的。日本有一部很有名的動畫叫巨人之星，然而印度也與日本合作，製作的一部印度板球版的巨人之星，這是他的影片和新聞 http://www.asahi.com/culture/update/0727/TKY201307270399.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJUIzukpI1s
