史上第一位教宗方濟各9月赴美國會演說

美國眾院議長貝納5日表示，天主教教宗方濟各將於今年9月24日向美國國會參眾兩院發表演說，成為史上第一位赴美國國會演說的教宗。

貝納說：「我們很榮幸教宗接受邀請，很期盼代表美國人民接受他傳達的訊息。」

貝納和眾院少數黨領袖裴洛西去年3月邀請方濟各赴國會演說，方濟各考慮了近一年。他去年底證實9月將赴美出席天主教會會議。
