堯壩古鎮居民仍保留許多傳統生活，如鐵水補鍋（下）、人工打鐵、剃頭修面的小舖子（上）、竹編簍子、稻草編的草鞋、雜貨舖等，遊走其中，充分感受到當地人生活起居的樣貌。其中，鐵水補鍋是項快要失傳的老工藝，在地人生活節儉，鍋壞了不是丟掉，而是請工匠補，補鍋的爺爺把鐵燒紅，熔化成鐵水，大火燒得炙熱，爺爺眼睛瞇得幾乎張不開，但總能精準補鍋。
